Lumi Barron graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a double concentration in Electronic Time Based Media, and Sculpture, Installation and Site-Work.

Her interests lie in experimental stop motion animation and interactive installation. 

​

She finds joy in places where the mundane crosses into the peculiar, and in the logic that monsters in old fairy tales live by. Her installation works are motivated by spaces that evoke a sense of wonder, and the possibility of other imagined worlds. Her animations are explorations of materials, technologies, and small moments in the day-to-day.
